Job summary

Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station is seeking Residential Student Technicians to support Housing & Residence Life operations on campus. The role includes front desk coverage, handling inquiries, and assisting with move-in/move-out and events.

The position requires current PVAMU enrollment, eligibility for Federal Work-Study, and ability to work up to 20 hours weekly, including evenings and weekends. Training and confidentiality obligations apply.

Qualifications

• Current PVAMU student eligible for Federal Work-Study.
• Minimum cumulative GPA 2.5 and good disciplinary standing.
• Ability to work up to 20 hours per week.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with front desk operations, office coverage, and administrative tasks.
• Answer phones, emails, and housing inquiries.
• Support residence hall opening, closing, move-in, and move-out processes.
• Assist with educational, social, and departmental events.
• Report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns to professional staff.
• Provide logistical and set-up/tear down support for event spaces.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA and university policies.
