Job summary

Barkan Management Company, Inc. is seeking a Resident Services Coordinator to assist residents in accessing services, develop aging-in-place programs, and coordinate community activities within our properties.

The role requires experience in social services for elderly or disabled populations, solid advocacy and organizational skills, and the ability to work with community agencies and HUD programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred in social work, psychology or counseling.
• At least two years of social service delivery experience with elderly or disabled populations.
• Knowledge of supportive services and how to access needed resources.
• Ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and deliver results for residents.
• Experience with aging-in-place programs and community linkages.

Responsibilities

• Develop programs and services to promote successful aging in place for residents.
• Assist tenants in identifying services and benefits to maintain independence.
• Link residents to community agencies for entitlement services and funding.
• Coordinate resident services and educational events for the community.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual activity reports for HUD compliance.
