Job summary

Barkan Management Company in Newton, MA is seeking a part-time Resident Services Coordinator to empower residents and coordinate community services within senior and disabled populations.

The 26-hour weekly role works alongside the Property Manager to identify and link tenants with benefits, maintain confidentiality, and report on activities for HUD compliance. A Bachelor in Social Work or related field is preferred, with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Social Work or related field preferred.
• At least two years experience delivering social services to elderly and/or disabled populations.
• Knowledge of supportive services and resources for residents.
• Ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver results for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents to identify services and benefits needed to maintain independence.
• Develop relationships and maintain linkages with community agencies.
• Sponsor educational events related to health care, agency support, life skills, and referrals.
• Coordinate resident services with management and HUD monitoring requirements.
• Maintain confidential resident information and produce monthly/annual reports.
