Job summary

John Knox Village of Central Florida, Inc. is seeking a security professional to provide a safe environment for residents and staff at its Orange City campus.

You will staff gate houses, patrol the grounds, perform welfare checks, and respond to incidents as part of a coordinated security team. Requirements include a valid Florida driver's license, the ability to pass a Level 2 background check, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• Pass Level 2 background screening.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
• Requires valid Florida Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide staffing at entry gate houses and confirm approved vehicle access.
• Patrol buildings and grounds on foot, in security vehicle, or golf cart.
• Perform welfare checks on residents and assist with duties as needed.
• Answer telephones and route calls to appropriate staff.
• Write incident reports and maintain basic data entry.
• Respond to code calls and dispatch security as required.
• Lock/unlock buildings and handle lock-outs per requests.
• Communicate with security staff via hand-held radio.
• Work as part of a team and follow supervisor directions.
