Job summary

La Vida Llena in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Safety Aide to maintain a safe, secure community through vigilant observation, reporting, and resident-focused service. The role includes gatekeeper duties, patrols, and monitoring alarms across the campus, with CPR/AED and First Aid required within 90 days of hire.

Pay ranges from $15.38 to $18.58 per hour DOE, with a robust benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, 401(k), and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in building or grounds security, or a related field.
• Knowledge of alarm and communication systems and ability to communicate with Police and Fire departments.
• Ability to complete forms accurately and maintain detailed logs and reports.
• Formal training or experience in self-defense methods.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide general safety and security through observation, monitoring, and reporting to promote a safe and secure environment across the community.
• Perform gatekeeper duties by screening and directing residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and visitors as needed.
• Conduct periodic patrols of common and public areas, on foot or by vehicle, and check security functions during rounds.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, fire alarm systems, and emergency call systems, responding to alarms and escalating issues appropriately.
• Assist during resident or employee emergencies, provide staff escorts during non-regular business hours, maintain accurate logs and reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
