Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Security Officer to patrol hospital buildings and grounds, protect patients, visitors, staff, and property, while delivering courteous service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You will respond to emergencies, monitor CCTV and access controls, conduct inspections, enforce policies, and work with leadership and local agencies during incidents. A high school diploma and NM driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid NM Driver's license and no DUI/DWI within last five years.
• 1 year of security experience preferred.
• Hospital environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital buildings, parking areas, and campus grounds by foot and vehicle to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide security services for patients, visitors, physicians, staff, and hospital property while delivering customer service.
• Respond to emergencies, security incidents, and safety concerns with professionalism and calm demeanor.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarms, and other security technology to identify risks.
• Conduct routine security inspections of facilities, grounds, entrances, and critical infrastructure.
• Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions, escorts, and general assistance as needed.
• Enforce hospital policies and procedures by addressing unauthorized access and safety concerns.
• Complete incident reports, investigations, and required documentation.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, clinical teams, local law enforcement, EMS, and fire departments during emergencies.
• Participate in ongoing training, including de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention.

• Conduct routine security inspections of facilities, grounds, entrances, and critical infrastructure.
• Assist patients, visitors, and staff by providing directions, escorts, and general assistance as needed.
• Enforce hospital policies and procedures by addressing unauthorized access, disruptive behavior, safety concerns, and other security-related issues.
• Complete accurate and timely incident reports, investigations, and required documentation.
• Work collaboratively with hospital leadership, clinical teams, local law enforcement, EMS, and fire departments during emergency situations.
• Participate in ongoing training, including de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, patient restraint, and emergency response procedures.
• Maintain department-issued equipment and perform additional duties as assigned in support of a safe healthcare environment.
