Job summary

PACS is seeking a dedicated Medical Records Clerk to assist the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse with recording and charting medical and administrative data in compliance with regulations. The role includes maintaining census data, resident rosters, and transcription of physicians’ orders, while ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills required.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

Responsibilities

• Record medical and administrative information according to policies.
• Maintain Daily Census Report and submit to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Maintain roster of residents for assigned unit.
• Transcribe physicians’ orders to care plans and related documents.
• Notify next-of-kin when there is a change in resident condition.
• Attend facility in-service trainings and participate in infection control programs.
