Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc. seeks a Resident Project Representative or Construction Inspector for oversight and inspection of utility and infrastructure projects in Cape Cod, MA.

You will review contracts, confirm compliance, and maintain daily records while coordinating with municipal staff and residents. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 2+ years’ experience in horizontal water/sewer systems, and AutoCAD familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or construction-related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with horizontal water/sewer/drain projects and related mechanical work preferred.
• Excellent public relations, written and verbal communication and organizational/time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents and identify contractor compliance.
• Verify shop drawings, measure quantities, observe quality, and prepare daily records.
• Review contractor work schedules and updates with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with abutters, clients, and engineers; attend site meetings.
• Review and recommend contractor monthly payment estimates; maintain relationships with municipal staff.
