Job summary

Senior Living Residences Marlboro is seeking a patient and creative Programming Assistant to help design, schedule, and implement engaging activities for residents. The role supports the Program Director and works to foster meaningful, safe experiences seven days a week.

Part-time shifts include Fridays and Saturdays, with a starting pay of $16.50 per hour. The team emphasizes a home-like environment, professional development, and inclusive, supportive care for seniors.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• 1+ years experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers.
• Punctuality and reliability in daily living activities support.

Responsibilities

• Form meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Help implement and coordinate the balanced daily programming schedule for 7 days per week.
• Support with coordination of entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors.
• Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site.
• Assist with support group and educational sessions for families and staff.
• Support with developing monthly newsletter, taking photos, and updating social media.
