Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living at Colonie is seeking a dedicated Resident Medication Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and monitor their medication program in accordance with physician orders.

This position offers full-time or part-time scheduling with competitive pay ($16.00–$19.00/hour) and a benefits package including health plans, PTO, retirement, and flexible scheduling, within a memory-care oriented team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of resident care experience and medication management/training required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, bed linens, movement and incontinence care.
• Monitor the medication program under physician orders and MAR.
• Dispense medication in accordance with physician orders and MAR for all residents.

Resident Medication Aide Responsibilities include:

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care as needed
• Assist in monitoring the medication program
• Dispenses medication in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the Medication Administration Record for all residents

Resident Medication Assistant Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Two (2) years of resident care experience and medication management and/or training required
