Job summary

IntersectHC in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents and staff, following federal, state, and local standards, policies, and as directed by the Dietary Manager. The role focuses on nutritious food delivery, quality service to patients and staff, and upholding high sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities include preparing a variety of meals, reviewing menus, following diet orders, ensuring proper portion control, and assisting with inventory and daily tasks

Qualifications

• Six months paid quantity food preparation experience with recipes for 25–50 servings.
• Formal or on-the-job training in quantity food preparation, estimating quantities, storing supplies, sanitation and safety.
• Therapeutic diets knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve various food items.
• Ensure meals are prepared on time according to planned menus.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and infection control policies.
• Review menus and diet orders for accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen area and equipment.
• Assist with daily tasks and inventory as needed.
