Kalesta Healthcare Group is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist the Cook in preparing and serving meals for residents. You will set up trays, read tray cards for allergies and diet instructions, and help with social dining when needed.

You must follow posted menus and safety guidelines, clean up after meals, and participate in in-service training. This position is non-exempt and requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a skilled care environment.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• License: None required.
• Work Experience: Experience in working in kitchen of communities or institutions that provide meals to large groups of people is preferred.
• Language Skills: Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and understand English.

Aufgaben

• Set up trays with proper dishes, glasses, cups and utensils for meals, including assistive feeding devices as indicated on the tray card.
• Prepare hot and cold foods and beverages for residents’ meals, following recipes and posted menus for regular, modified and therapeutic diets.
• Read tray cards for allergies, food likes/dislikes, and special instructions; place items on the tray and ensure correct diet.
• Assist with social dining/meal service when required.
• Follow posted cleaning schedule and proper infection control procedures.
• Prepare nourishments and clean food preparation utensils and areas after use.
