Job summary

Vale-Healthcare-Center is seeking a Dietary Assistant to support the Dietary Manager and Cook in the preparation and service of meals to residents and patients. You will assist in assembling meal trays, deliver meals and nourishments, help with food preparation, and ensure ware washing and waste disposal are completed efficiently and safely.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to work in an institutional kitchen environment, with occasional lifting up to 50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in institutional kitchen environment beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembly of meal trays according to physicians' diet orders.
• Deliver meals and nourishments to designated facility locations.
• Assist in the preparation of food items, as directed.
• Complete ware washing and trash disposal.
• Maintain food service equipment and work spaces in a clean and safe condition per facility policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
• Safeguard residents' protected health information according to state and federal law.
