Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, LP is seeking a Resident Maintenance Manager in the Mason, OH area. The role oversees occupied maintenance operations, directs a district maintenance team, and drives timely, high-quality service while managing costs and asset performance.

You will monitor KPIs, coordinate with vendors, and ensure adherence to standards. A bachelor’s degree or technical cert is preferred, with 5+ years in operations leadership and strong data skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive operations or multi-unit leadership.
• Hands-on experience with basic hand and power tools.
• Scheduling/dispatching or resource allocation experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong knowledge of property maintenance and data/financials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• OSHA safety standards knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a district maintenance team with hiring and coaching.
• Oversee daily occupied maintenance operations and vendor coordination.
• Monitor KPIs, resource usage, and asset financials for cost efficiency.
• Ensure maintenance standards and company procedures are followed.
• Communicate goals, expectations, and metrics to the team.
• Support quality control through reviews and training.
• Assist with escalations and timely maintenance resolutions.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for scheduling and compliance.
• Lead routine meetings on seasonal trends and business needs.
• Conduct field training, ride-alongs, and inventory checks.
