Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant to support the Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and delivering programs and events that deliver the Acts Signature Experience (ASE) focusing on body, mind and spirit. You will help create meaningful engagement for residents across cognitive and functional levels using Montessori-inspired, resident-centered approaches.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of activities/recreation experience.
• Dementia engagement certification (or willing to obtain within one year of employment).
• Current or eligible for CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and implementing programs and events providing residents with Acts Signature Experience (ASE).
• Ensure residents of differing cognitive and functional levels have opportunities for meaningful engagement.
• Incorporate Montessori principles and resident history/preferences from My Story into programming.
