Job summary

Sagora Senior Living Lyndale Abilene Memory Care in Abilene, TX seeks a Lifestyle Assistant to support the Lifestyle Director in planning and leading resident activities. You will help setup events, manage calendars, and assist with outings to foster social and physical well-being.

Applicants should have 6+ months in similar roles, strong communication, and a friendly, patient approach to seniors. Evening/weekend events may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months in a similar role or related experience in event planning, fitness instruction, or administrative support.
• Affinity toward senior adults and a desire to help residents stay engaged.
• Strong organization and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lifestyle Director with planning and leading programs and events.
• Setup and takedown for programs, events, parties, and meetings.
• Create and distribute monthly calendar and newsletter.
• Assist before, during, and after resident outings.
• Communicate daily with residents and staff about activities.
• Support dining room services to ensure quality meals.
• Maintain records of activities, calendars, and events.
• Help coordinate volunteers and staff training as needed.
• Attend meetings and dementia-focused training as directed.
