Job summary

George Mason University’s Housing & Residence Life seeks a Coordinator of Residential Student Development Initiatives to design, coordinate, and execute training strategies that develop residential student staff in line with divisional and university goals.

You will lead staff training, engagement model programs, and curricula, partnering with HRL and campus offices to foster a safe, inclusive residential community and meaningful student learning.

Qualifications

• Requires master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience developing and delivering training for staff and students.
• Ability to design curricula aligned with core competencies and outcomes.
• Strong collaboration with campus partners to align training with university goals.
• Proven ability to assess training impact and inform future initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate student staff training and development with HRL and campus partners.
• Design and implement tiered, competency-based training curricula.
• Collaborate with HRL stakeholders to identify training needs and update programs.
• Use evaluations to improve training and development initiatives.
• Lead ongoing professional development and in-service sessions for staff.
• Promote student staff growth and engagement through external partnerships.
