Job summary

San Diego State University seeks a Residence Hall Coordinator to lead a 350–800 student residential community and supervise a team of Resident Advisors. The role oversees daily operations, student conduct, and crisis response to foster a safe, inclusive living-learning environment.

The position is live-in, benefits-eligible, and part of a team dedicated to equity, inclusion, and student success within the Residential Education Office.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred; equivalent combinations considered.
• Three years of residence hall experience preferred.
• Experience as a student conduct officer or related role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a residential community, promoting student engagement and inclusive standards.
• Supervise, train, evaluate, and support 8–22 Resident Advisors or Community Assistants.
• Oversee administrative and operational functions of a residence hall or apartment complex.
• Serve as Conduct Coordinator and University Judicial Officer, addressing behavioral concerns and adjudicating cases.
• Participate in a 24-hour on-call duty rotation, responding to student crises and emergencies.
