Genesis Healthcare is seeking a Recreation Director to develop and supervise nursing center activities to improve residents' quality of life. You will lead staff, plan programs, and ensure documentation while aligning with treatment goals.

The role requires a relevant degree and regulatory certification; prior healthcare recreation experience is preferred. Join a team focused on compassionate care and community engagement within a supportive facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in therapeutic recreation preferred or completion of NAAP/NCCAP Basic and Advanced Management Course for Activity Professionals.
• Certification by ADC or CTRS as required by regulatory agencies.
• Two years' experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to Nursing Home Administrator.
• Plan individual and group programs aligned with patient/resident needs and treatment goals.
• Lead, guide and direct recreation staff and volunteers.
• Maintain required documentation; participate in budget planning.
• Develop positive relationships with patient/resident families and the community.
• Use community resources to enhance recreation programs.
