The Assistant Director of Residence Life at Miami University provides leadership and direction for the residence life program on campus in Oxford, Ohio. This live‑on position supervises 6-12 live‑in staff members and oversees recruitment, training, and development of residential staff.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise, train and evaluate full‑time master’s level area coordinators and resident directors, bachelor’s level community managers, and/or part‑time graduate student staff members (40%)
• Assume leadership of one of departmental initiatives: Resident Assistant Recruitment & Selection, Student Leadership Development, Resident Assistant Training and Development, Professional Staff Training and Development, Departmental Celebration and Recognition other departmental initiatives
• Manage crises and serious incidents in collaboration with supervisees, Resident Assistants, other central staff members, and university resources (15%)
• Teach departmental or divisional related courses (10%)
• Assist with University, divisional, and departmental student retention initiatives (10%)
• Maintain high visibility and availability, including regularly touring the halls and interacting with heads of hall
• Serve as a hearing administrator as needed, including adjudication of hearings and serving as a member of the university hearing board
• Fulfill other general duties assigned by the Office of Residence Life, Division of Student Life and/or Miami University
