Job summary

Avamere at Sherwood in Oregon is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in planning and implementing activities for residents across independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities.

You will help create diverse activity calendars, lead group sessions, and assist with transporting residents to events, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. A strong focus on communication and geriatric care is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute or memory care settings preferred.
• Active CPR/BLS certification during employment.
• Must hold an active and unencumbered Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing activities, including games, exercise, arts, music, and social events.
• Create activity schedules and calendars with diverse options for different abilities.
• Lead group activities and engage residents in one-on-one interactions.
