Job summary

Legacy-Village-of-Cleveland is seeking a part-time Activity Assistant to support the Activity Coordinator. You will help plan, organize, and implement activities that meet residents' social, emotional, physical, and therapeutic needs within budget, while coordinating outside partnerships and volunteer involvement.

The role emphasizes creative scheduling, documentation, and staff collaboration to enhance resident quality of life. Weekend rotation and active resident engagement are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in a resident activities program preferred.
• Willingness to complete a state-approved training course within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and implement activity programs meeting residents' social, emotional, physical, and therapeutic needs within budget.
• Coordinate and verify assistance for activities and events as needed.
• Create and maintain an ongoing calendar of activities accessible to residents, staff, and families.
• Maintain records of activity programs and participation, and progress toward care plan goals.
• Assist residents with organizing and maintaining a Resident Council, including minutes and follow-up.
