Job summary

STGi is seeking a qualified Activities Director in Kernersville, North Carolina, to lead the residents' activity programs and ensure person-centered care that enhances quality of life. You will develop recreational opportunities, coordinate outreach and transportation for outings, and work with staff to deliver compliant, engaging programs while maintaining required training and policy updates.

The position requires strong leadership, NASW/ACSW eligibility, and a commitment to compassionate care

Qualifications

• Must possess at least two years of college; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or licensed activities professional.
• Must have two years of experience in social or recreation programs in the last five years, one year full-time in a patient activities program in a healthcare setting.
• Must be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or
• Must have completed a state-approved training course.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the activities programs to meet resident needs.
• Develop recreational activities opportunities appropriate to the resident population.
• Coordinate community outreach and partnerships representing residents' interests.
• Coordinate transportation for activities outings and resident needs.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and update facility policies.
