Job summary

STGi is seeking a Medical Director for future openings in Kernersville, NC. The role supports residential health services, coordinating medical care and leading clinical programs in a nursing facility setting.

The candidate will ensure residents receive appropriate care, strive for optimal well‑being, and supervise licensed practitioners to comply with state regulations. On‑call duties and collaboration with administration are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with NC license
• Expertise in geriatrics and nursing facility care
• Familiarity with state medical regulations and standards
• Proficient in English, written and spoken
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical care for residents to ensure appropriate treatment.
• Strive for residents' highest possible physical, mental and psychosocial well‑being.
• Ensure NP and physician‑delegated tasks comply with state law and scope of practice.
• Meet with directors and supervisors to discuss medical and functional needs.
• Assist in planning facility medical and nursing programs with leadership.
• Provide rotating on‑call services and crisis coverage.
