Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Activities Assistant in Overland Park, KS to support residents on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00am to 5:00pm. You will help develop the monthly activity calendar, arrange performers, and coordinate transport for events.

Strong communication, organization, and a friendly, professional demeanor are essential as you engage with residents, families, and the care team; holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license, a clean motor vehicle records, and at least 3 years of driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with residents, family members, and other team members.
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and professional. Must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Strong customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, planning, implementing and executing activities for residents.
• Assist in developing the monthly calendar, procuring performers, providing seminars, and maintaining the resident library.
• Drive residents to events and assist residents to enter and exit the community vehicle.
