Job summary

Intermountain Health in Miles City, MT is seeking an Activity Director to plan, organize, and direct the Residential Living Unit’s Activity Department in alignment with federal and state guidelines. The position focuses on developing resident-centered activity programs, coordinating with staff and community partners, and maintaining quality assurance within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid MT driver’s license and proof of insurability.
• CNA certification in MT or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized care plans for residents using MDS/RAI assessments.
• Develop activity program compliant with regulations to meet medical, spiritual, social and recreational needs.
• Create evening and weekend activities to suit resident needs and preferences.
• Coordinate with community agencies, volunteers and staff to provide activities.
• Manage supplies and stay within budget for activities.
• Provide transportation for activities and appointments as needed.
• Collaborate with resident council to plan meetings and report results.
• Maintain quality assurance program for the activity department.
• Monitor staff performance and conduct appraisals.
