Job summary

Jamestown Place Health and Rehab is seeking an Activities Assistant to support planning and delivering recreational, social, and therapeutic programs aligned with residents' care plans. This full-time role involves coordinating calendars, interviewing residents for preferences, and assisting with transportation for activities.

You will help document participation, monitor resident engagement, and involve families in planning when possible, contributing to a positive, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activities to support residents' well-being.
• Help create a monthly calendar of activities and post it in accessible locations.
• Interview residents/family members to obtain activity preferences and coordinate transport for offsite trips.
• Document attendance and resident responses in care notes and report changes to the Activities Director.
• Support in-room activities and coordinate with other departments to ensure uninterrupted daily activities.
