Job summary

Hultquist Place Assisted Living in Jamestown, NY is seeking a creative, energetic Activities Coordinator for a full-time position. This role will plan and facilitate a diverse range of cultural, spiritual, physical, social, and intellectual activities, collaborating with the Activities Director and other departments to connect residents with community members.

You will develop campus-wide programs, encourage participation, manage calendars, and coordinate events, transportation, and supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to complete van operation training.
• Experience with older adults or planning recreational programs is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging individual, small-group, and large-group activities reflecting residents' interests and abilities.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director and other campus departments to develop shared programming.
• Create and distribute the monthly activity calendar.
• Coordinate campus-wide celebrations, outings, events, entertainment, and intergenerational programs.
• Encourage resident participation and reduce isolation by fostering social connections.
• Complete initial activity assessments and contribute to activity plans.
• Maintain attendance records and document participation.
• Communicate upcoming activities to residents, families, staff, volunteers, and community members.
