Job summary

Genesis is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of our patients and residents by planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities that address physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.

You will document attendance and participation, contribute input to monthly recreation therapy services, and attend care plan meetings to coordinate care with the team. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in a supportive long-term care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities for patients/residents.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation in recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
