Job summary

Citadel Health Care in Wilmette seeks a Recreational Services Aide to support planned activity programs that promote physical, emotional and social well-being of residents. You will assist in implementing and evaluating activities aligned with each resident's care plan.

This role emphasizes teamwork with clinical staff, strong communication, and the ability to lead groups. A high school diploma and healthcare experience are preferred, with opportunities for growth and professional development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare setting experience preferred.
• At least 1 year in a relevant role and in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements activity programming to meet residents' needs and interests.
• Assists residents to and from activities and outings.
• Maintains rapport with family and encourages family participation.
• Provides input to assessment and evaluation of participation.
• Communicates residents' concerns to supervisor.
• Supports residents' preferences and routines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
