Job summary

Pavilion Healthcare seeks a Recreational Services Aide in Sandwich, IL to support activity programming for residents. You will assist residents to activities and outings and maintain positive communication with families and staff.

Under supervision, you will contribute to assessments, respect residents’ preferences, and help create a caring, engaging environment in a unionized facility.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to relate positively and independently with residents, families and staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication to lead groups in activities.

Responsibilities

• Implements activity programming as planned to meet residents' needs.
• Assists residents to and from activity programs and outings.
• Maintains rapport with family members and encourages family involvement.
• Provides input to assessments and evaluations of resident participation.
• Communicates residents' concerns to the supervisor.
• Supports individual needs and routines of residents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
