Job summary

Cross Healthcare Services in Austin, TX is seeking a Laundry Aide to support facility operations. Under supervision, you will collect, launder, dry, sort, and distribute linens and residents’ clothing in accordance with policy.

Responsibilities include sorting soiled laundry, handling loads with care, using PPE for contaminated items, and maintaining accurate labeling. High school diploma and English communication are required; some related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in a related position preferred.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Handles all laundry in compliance with sanitary guidelines.
• Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories and transports loads.
• Washes, dries, folds, and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
• Identifies personal laundry with resident names and remarks personal clothing items if needed.
• Uses appropriate PPE when handling contaminated clothing.
