Job summary

Glenbridge Health and Rehab is seeking a reliable Laundry Aide to join our team. The role focuses on cleaning, sanitizing, and returning resident linens and personal clothing in a timely, professional manner to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.

The position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently with occasional teamwork across housekeeping and nursing staff. Shift runs from 6am to 3pm, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or long-term care laundry experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents' personal laundry.
• Operate commercial washers and dryers following procedures and safety guidelines.
• Inspect for damage or stains and treat accordingly.
• Label and track personal laundry for proper return.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Follow infection control and sanitation policies.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
• Assist with linen inventory and supply ordering as needed.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and nursing staff to meet resident needs.
• Hours are 6am through 3pm.
