Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Healthcare or long-term care laundry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents' personal laundry.
  • Operate commercial washers and dryers following procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Inspect for damage or stains and treat accordingly.
  • Label and track personal laundry for proper return.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
  • Follow infection control and sanitation policies.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
  • Assist with linen inventory and supply ordering as needed.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and nursing staff to meet resident needs.
  • Hours are 6am through 3pm.

This role plays a vital part in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents' personal laundry.

  • Inspect laundry for damage or stains and treat as needed.
