Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Required Health Screening, TB Clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance.
• First Aid/ CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in laundry or healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and launder residents’ clothing, bed linens, towels, and other items, ensuring colors and fabrics are separated.
• Fold, iron, and return laundered items to resident rooms in a neat, orderly fashion.
• Identify and treat stains or damage on clothing or linens promptly.
• Operate laundry machines following manufacturer instructions and facility protocols.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on laundry equipment.
• Report malfunctions or repairs needed to facility management.
• Ensure laundry is done per care instructions to extend item longevity.
• Use PPE and safety precautions when handling soiled laundry.
• Communicate with residents and families about laundry preferences or concerns.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and care staff for timely collection and delivery of laundry.
• Adhere to all facility health and safety protocols.
• Keep laundry area clean and organized, and restock supplies as needed.
• Handle residents’ personal items with care to avoid loss.
