Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Six months experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Knowledgeable in cooking large quantities of food with little to no direction on how to cook the recipes.
• Knowledgeable of culinary practices, procedures, and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following menus and recipes ensuring appetizing appearance.
• Inspect diet trays to ensure correct diets are served.
• Prepare cold items, bakery and salads and cook hot foods per supervisor.
• Follow food safety regulations and maintain sanitary work areas.
• Assist with inventory and replenishment for food and supplies.
• Assist with meals for special events and parties.
