Shift Availability
  • Thursday-Monday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Saturday-Sunday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; Monday-Wednesday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Responsibilities and Initiatives
  • Ensure safety and security of the recuperative care facility, performing daily inspections and routine room checks.
  • Conduct resident/guest intake, greet guests, provide orientation of program guidelines, expectations, and available services, build rapport, and collect feedback.
  • Create and support engagement activities for residents/guests, maintaining consistent interaction and responsiveness.
  • Assist nursing, case management, and external partners with appointments, on-site services, and care coordination.
  • Maintain bed availability, resident/guest tracking, and required documentation with accuracy.
  • Support inventory checks and supply logs as directed by lead staff or program management.
  • Keep accurate records, including daily shift notes, incident reports, and Emergency Action Plan documentation.
  • Respond to resident/guest concerns and provide de-escalation and support using trauma-informed, resident-centered approaches.
  • Attend required meetings and training (e.g., shift handoff, BLS, Crisis Prevention, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, DEI).
  • Laundry, boutique, and mealtime support duties; assist with basic housekeeping in absence of environmental services staff.
  • Adapt schedule as needed, including additional shifts to meet operational demands, within labor law limits.
  • Maintain a positive professional image and adhere to the organization’s dress code and standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations and resident/guest care services.
  • Maintain resident/guest boundaries to ensure safety and security.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in caregiving, recuperative care, shelter-based care, or a related supportive services environment (preferred).
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work a schedule of five eight-hour shifts.
  • Current BLS certification preferred but not required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective communication with staff, residents/guests, and external partners.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • TB clearance required within 30 days of hire.
  • Fingerprint live‑scan/background clearance required within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements

The duties require standing and walking 90% of the time, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Conversational speech required; noise level high in some client care areas.
