Zusammenfassung

The Orchards is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to lead our Culinary Services team in providing resident-centered dining experiences. You will supervise daily operations, manage staff, ensure food safety, and collaborate with the Registered Dietitian on individualized meal plans.

You’ll drive menu planning, budgeting, inventory control, and adherence to regulatory standards, while delivering high-quality, comforting meals in a caring environment.

Qualifikationen

• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, delegation, and customer service skills.
• Associate degree or higher in a related culinary field is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or institutional food service is advantageous.
• Knowledge of health, safety and regulatory requirements in food service.

Aufgaben

• Assist the Executive Chef with daily management and supervision of Culinary Services operations.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to staff while promoting teamwork and customer service.
• Manage purchasing and inventory to stay within budget and maintain FIFO inventory.
• Oversee safe storage, preparation, service, and disposal of food per regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian on diets, assessments, and meal plans.
• Participate in menu planning, recipe standardization, and resident preference initiatives.
• Visit dining areas to gather feedback and enhance dining experiences.
