Job summary

Robinwood Retirement Community is seeking a Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operations and craft meals that delight residents. You will oversee quality, safety, and presentation while mentoring team members to deliver scratch-made dishes that reflect residents' preferences.

You will work a flexible schedule, primarily for lunch and dinner Tue–Sat, with additional support during holidays and events. A culinary background and leadership experience help you excel in this caring, service-oriented

Qualifications

• Leadership in culinary preparation and cooking experience preferred.
• Flexibility to cover lunch and dinner Tue–Sat; additional holidays/events.
• Basic computer skills and data entry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; culinary degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality and presentation of every dish, cooking meats, seafood, vegetables using broiling, grilling, frying, and sautéing.
• Provide leadership in the Executive Chef's absence and guide the culinary team to prepare scratch-made, flavorful meals.
• Train team members using structured training programs to improve resident satisfaction.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and well-stocked stations and proper food handling and storage.
