Job summary

Robinwood Retirement Community is seeking a Relief Cook to cover Saturdays and Sundays in our scratch-based kitchen. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, aiming for safety, visual appeal, and portion accuracy while engaging residents and teammates to foster a warm weekend atmosphere.

Experience in kitchen preparation is preferred. You will work on a schedule that ensures high-quality meals and a welcoming environment for residents and guests alike.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Available Saturdays and Sundays, at least 8 hours per day.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• Kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes using broiling, grilling, frying, and sautéing.
• Contribute ideas during meetings and stay attentive on the service line during meals.
• Complete opening and closing tasks and assist teammates to keep a clean, safe kitchen.
• Keep stations stocked and organized, refresh pantry items, monitor refrigeration.
• Ensure sanitary kitchen environment and monitor temperatures for safety and quality.
