Job summary

IDM Companies in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep our apartment communities clean and well-maintained for residents, visitors and staff.

You will handle turnover, repairs, and on-call maintenance, with attention to safety and customer service. This role requires 1-3 years of relevant maintenance experience and physical stamina to lift up to 75 lbs., with shift lengths of 8–12 hours and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years relevant maintenance experience required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. and work 8-12 hour standing shifts.
• Must be able to work weekends and be available for on call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the facility and grounds based on community objectives.
• Follows practices for safe operation, maintenance and repair of all on-site equipment, including OSHA compliance.
• Responsible for detailed turnover of apartments, including painting, carpentry, drywall patch/repair, appliance maintenance, and make-ready checklists.
• Responds to work orders in a timely manner, including after-hours on-call maintenance requests, and participates in rotation.
• Assists with inspection of public areas and resident apartments to ensure maintenance standards are met; keeps storage areas and tools secured.
• Maintains compliance with company policy while delivering high-level customer service.
• Participates in training workshops and safety meetings as necessary.
