Job summary

A property management company based in Berkeley, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure properties are well-maintained and provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires at least 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience and the availability for on-call emergencies. Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience highly desired.
• Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and appliances.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable transportation.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction.
• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vacant apartments for leasing and new move-ins.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities.
• Support cost-cutting and expense control programs.
• Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety concerns.
