Job summary

Mariella of Arlington Heights in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Cook to join our team. The role is full-time, day/afternoons, with a salary range of $19.00–$21.00 per hour, DOE. You will prepare a variety of dishes, ensure quality and safety, and engage residents to support a happy dining experience.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of food prep and sanitation experience. Serv-SAFE is preferred but not required; First Aid certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation.
• SERV-SAFE certification preferred but not required.
• First Aid Certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of dishes according to the daily menu.
• Follow dietary needs and create meals that are tasty and nutritious.
• Maintain high standards of quality and appearance for each dish.
• Engage residents with friendly conversations and walk-throughs to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment and proper hygiene.
