Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role emphasizes quality, taste, and presentation in alignment with HCSG standards.

You will follow planned menus, adhere to safety guidelines, and assist with inventory while delivering excellent customer service to residents and staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous cook or food-preparation experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must be ServSafe or Food Handler certified per state law.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
