GEMSTONE SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY is seeking a compassionate Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents in our assisted living and memory care neighborhoods, following menus, recipes and each resident's dietary orders.

You will work under the Culinary Director and alongside team members, ensuring food safety, accuracy of diet orders and appealing portions while supporting resident nutrition, satisfaction and safety, and training new team members in a respectful, collaborative

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a background check.
• Experience cooking in a kitchen such as restaurant, healthcare, senior living or hospitality.
• Read, write and communicate with residents, families and coworkers.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks per menu and recipes.
• Prepare texture-modified and therapeutic diets per orders.
• Check tray tickets and diet orders for accuracy.
• Present and portion food to meet serving standards.
• Follow food safety standards and allergen control.
• Label, date and rotate food; keep logs and temperatures.
• Keep kitchen and storage areas clean and sanitary.
• Train and guide team members; report maintenance issues.
• Arrive on time and follow policies; maintain privacy and dignity of residents.
