Ziegler Ag Equipment in Ft. Dodge, IA is hiring a Field Service Ag Technician to repair and service the full line of agricultural equipment at customer sites. A company truck is provided and wage ranges are competitive based on skills and location.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field
• 3+ years of diesel equipment repair experience, preferably some field experience
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems
• Own mechanic tool set
• Class A CDL or willingness to obtain one within a defined period
• Must have and maintain a clean driving record
• DOT pre-employment drug screen and physical due to safety-sensitive role

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair ag equipment from application, tillage, planting to harvest equipment at the customer's location
• Utilizes independent judgment to repair a variety of complex equipment involving mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and electrical systems
• Work safely at all times, following company policies and standards
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to maximize value of work performed
• Collaborate and assist other technicians with troubleshooting repairs
• Document work orders completely and timely; identify and communicate needs for parts for inventory

Education

2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field

high school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience

The pay range for this position is $38.00 to $51.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or high school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanicexperience
• 3+ years of relevantdiesel equipment repair experience, preferably some field experience
• Working knowledge of repairing a variety of agricultural equipment; ag technology experience is a definite plus
• Ability to write and communicate effectively, interact with supervisors, customers, and team members
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems
• Own mechanic tool set
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment including service truck
• Willing and able to respond to after-hour emergency calls as directed by the supervisor
• Able to operate equipment safely
• Must have and maintain a clean driving record
• Pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen & physical due to the role being deemed safety-sensitive
• DOT Med card or ability to obtain is required
• Class A CDL or willingness to obtain one within a defined period
