Job summary

Ziegler CAT is hiring a full-time, experienced Technician to service agricultural equipment including tractors, combines, planters, and application equipment. The role demands strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Starting pay ranges from $26.00 to $44.00 per hour, with full-time benefits and opportunities for training. Candidates should have a 2-year technical degree or equivalent, plus several years of shop experience in diesel

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or high school diploma/GED and several years of comparable shop mechanic experience.
• 2+ years of relevant diesel equipment repair experience preferred.
• Experience with AGCO or Versatile products is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment including tractors, combines, balers, sprayers, tillage equipment, and planters.
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to all safety procedures.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Document labor and parts on work orders and ensure accurate billing.

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a full-time, experienced Technician to work on agricultural equipment. Ziegler Ag Equipment sells and services the full line of Fendt tractors, combines, planters and application equipment. Other brands include Massey Ferguson, RoGator and TerraGator application equipment, Jaguar and tractors in select areas, as well as tillage and grain handling equipment. The pay range for this position is $26.00 to $44.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment including tractors, combines, balers, sprayers, tillage equipment, and planters
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed
• Maintains a clean and safe work area, adhere to all safety procedures
• Follows standard operating procedures
• Cleans and organizes equipment
• Attends formal training
• Assists to prepare new equipment for rent or sale
• Provides assistance to all other levels of technicians as needed in regard to troubleshooting repairs
• Performs other duties as assigned/required
• Maintains paperwork documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basis
• Documents labor, addition of segments, assuring that work order can be closed and billed as communicated with the customer
• Positively interacts with manager and team members to satisfy customer needs
• Communicates effectively with customers, both internal and external

Qualifications:

• 2-year technical degree or high school diploma/GED and several years of comparable shop mechanicexperience
• 2+ years of relevantdiesel equipment repair experience preferred
• Previous experience with AGCO or Versatile products is a plus but not required
• Personal attributes: attention to detail, efficiency, problem solving, planning and organization, team player
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Own mechanic tool set
• Ability to maintain safe and clean work environment
• This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement

Minimum Physical Requirements** :**

• Push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Lift/carry up to 60 lbs
• Lift bulky objects
• Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.
• Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
