Job summary

Ziegler Ag Equipment is hiring a Field Service Ag Technician to diagnose and repair agricultural equipment at customer sites, from planting to harvest, at our St. Cloud location. A company truck is provided and training is ongoing.

The role requires a diesel technology background, 3+ years of repair experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Benefits include health and retirement plans, PTO, holidays, and more.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college in diesel technology or a high school diploma with 2 years of comparable shop experience.
• 3+ years of diesel equipment repair experience, preferably field experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment at the customer’s location across application, tillage, planting to harvest.
• Use independent judgment to repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel and electrical systems.
• Work safely following company policies and standards; maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Assist other technicians with troubleshooting and documenting work orders to ensure customer satisfaction.

Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:* Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance* 15 days of PTO your first year, accrual starts day 1* 9 paid holidays* 401(k) plan with company contribution and match* HSA (Health Savings Account), Ziegler contributes up to $1000 tax-free each year* Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance, FSA & EAP* Paid Parental Leave & Funeral Leave* Fitness membership discount* Education Assistance* Safety Boot Reimbursement, PPE & Uniforms provided* Tool Insurance* Safe, clean and friendly work environment### **Responsibilities****:*** Diagnose and repair ag equipment from application, tillage, planting to harvest equipment at the customer’s location* Uses a high degree of independent judgment to repair a variety of complex equipment and tools, which involve mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and electrical systems* Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards* Responds to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed* Work collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding troubleshooting repairs* Document work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction; identify and communicate the need for parts for inventory**Qualifications:*** 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or high school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience* 3+ years of relevant diesel equipment repair experience, preferably some field experience* Working knowledge of repairing a variety of agricultural equipment; ag technology experience is a definite plus* Ability to write and communicate effectively, interact with supervisors, customers, and team members* Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems* Own mechanic tool set* Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment including service truck* Willing and able to respond to after-hour emergency calls as directed by the supervisor* Must have and maintain a clean driving record* Class A CDL or willingness to obtain one within a defined period* Obtain a DOT medical certification card* Pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen & physical due to this role being deemed safety sensitive position* Able to operate equipment safely### **Minimum Physical Requirements****:*** Push/pull up to 50 lbs* Lift/carry up to 60 lbs* Lift bulky objects* Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.* Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor.
