Job summary

TAM Residential in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Leasing Professional to be the community’s front-line ambassador, greeting prospects and residents, touring properties, and guiding applicants through the leasing process with professionalism.

You will maintain the leasing office, handle inquiries, explain leases, collect fees, and contribute to resident retention and market awareness through timely reporting and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with computers and property management software.
• Experience with Entrata is a plus
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to handle and elevate formal complaints to the appropriate manager.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• If job duties require the use of a vehicle or golf cart, must maintain a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Greet, qualify, and tour prospective residents; effectively present the features and benefits of the community to secure new leases.
• Professionally handle all phone and email inquiries, ensuring prompt and courteous follow-up.
• Maintain the leasing office and model apartments to the highest standards of cleanliness and professional appearance.
• Accurately explain lease agreements, policies, and procedures to new residents.
• Verify completion of all move-in documentation and coordinate move-in dates with the Community Manager.
• Generate, understand, and utilize daily, weekly, and monthly leasing reports.
• Maintain knowledge of local market conditions by shopping competitive properties and monitoring rental rates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, merchants, and referral sources.
• Promote resident retention by assisting with renewal efforts, resident events, and community communications.
