Job summary

Related Affordable is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support our 189‑unit affordable housing community in Chicago, IL. You will assist the Community Manager with leasing, approvals, and admin duties to ensure smooth operations and resident satisfaction.

The role requires 2+ years in property management, familiarity with LIHTC/HUD programs, and experience with RealPage, OneSite, and JD Edwards. This position is on-site with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing.
• Familiarity with affordable housing programs (e.g., Project-Based Section 8, LIHTC) and compliance requirements.
• Experience with RealPage, OneSite, and JD Edwards (or similar property management software).
• Leasing License or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing leasing activities, marketing, recertifications, and administrative duties.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, rent collection, and delinquencies.
• Address resident concerns and organize resident appreciation events.
• Ensure adherence to affordable housing program requirements and support audits.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff for quality property upkeep.
• Assist in preparing reports to monitor community performance.
